Shadow Masterclass 2025: class logistics

Welcome!

We are very glad that you’ll be joining us for this year’s deep dive into the power of the Shadow. 

Included here are all the practicalities for our time together; we’ve found that having all of the logistical information in one place means that those practical questions are answered before they arise. Please take a few moments to read through carefully.

Dates and timings…

Class begins on Friday 28 November at 10am.

Class ends on Monday 1 December at 3.30pm.

Our daily schedule

We gather for our morning meditations at 8am (on Saturday, Sunday and Monday)
Breakfast is at 8.30am 
Class begins at 9.15am
We generally have a tea/coffee break at around 11am.
Lunch is at 1pm
We have a short tea/coffee break at around 4pm.
Dinner is at 6.30pm
Class or ceremony resumes at 7.30pm.

Our venue…

Class takes place at the Ammerdown Retreat Centre, near Radstock in Somerset, set in gardens and woodlands. 

For your travels… the address for your Satnav is Ammerdown Park, Radstock, Somerset BA3 5SW. There is plenty of free parking. The closest airport is Bristol (45 minutes away by car/taxi). Three home-cooked meals a day are provided, plus tea and coffee, and sometimes cakes or biscuits at break times. However please bring with you specialist teas, snacks and other items that you need to be comfortable. (Though please note that you won’t have access to a fridge.)

When you pay your accommodation fee, you have the opportunity to let Ammerdown know which dietary option(s) you follow. If you have complex dietary needs, please give the catering team (and potentially the whole group) as much notice as possible; it may also incur an additional charge to you.

Please note that Ammerdown’s dining room is ‘canteen’ style than a restaurant, so they are unable to cater for food preferences, such as foods you don’t like.

Let Ammerdown know if you have any mobility issues, too, so that you can be allocated a room on the ground floor or near the lift.

What to bring with you

Comfortable clothes that you can move around in easily; plus warm, water-proof clothes and footwear for outdoor work in all forms of British weather in November.

Your notebook and pens for journalling; your rattle; a drum if have one; and your Mesa of course!

There are a few things that we request that you please don’t bring: we are stepping into a sensitive environment and over many years have found that these elements in particular will feel more impactful: we leave our mobile phones and all electronic devices in our rooms while we are in class; no alcohol while we are together – energy work and alcohol do not mix; smoking and vaping are not allowed on the venue premises; and our request is that you don’t use cosmetic perfumes and aftershaves at all while you’re with us.

Tuition fees

The Early Bird fee is £470 inc VAT (the 2024 price!) when paid by the date below.

The Late Bird fee is £600 inc VAT.

If you have already signed up to this class and paid the £100 non-refundable deposit – thank you! The balance of your tuition fee is paid direct to Spirit of the Inca. The bank details are below. Once made, tuition payments are non-refundable and non-transferable.

The Early Bird deadline

To receive the Early Bird discount on your tuition fee, Chris must receive the balance of your tuition fee by the end of the day on FRIDAY 18 JULY.

After that, the full fee applies.

Please put this date in your diary if you would like to receive the discount (we do not issue reminders). This is your reward for being helpful – and we really appreciate it!!

Accommodation fee

The cost of your full-board accommodation is £464 (inc VAT).

This payment is made direct to the Ammerdown Retreat Centre at the VERY LATEST by the week commencing 13 October via the online payment link below.

Spirit of the Inca reserves your room until 13 October; after that, if your room is not paid for, Ammerdown will release it from our booking – otherwise, Spirit of the Inca would be liable for the cost. Taking your place on this training depends on staying at Ammerdown; it is not possible to do this training and stay off-site.

If you need to stay an extra night before or after a module, the rate for Supper, Bed & Breakfast pppn is £93.
