Welcome
We hope that you’ll join us for this year’s deep dive into the power of the Shadow!
Included here are all the practicalities for our time together; we’ve found that having all of the logistical information in one place means that those practical questions are answered before they arise. Please take a few moments to read through carefully.

Dates, timings and our daily schedule
FRIDAY 6 – MONDAY 9 NOVEMBER
We’ll meet together on Friday 9th to begin at 10am, and on the final day, class ends at 3.30pm.
We’ll gather for our morning meditations at 8am (on Saturday, Sunday and Monday)
Breakfast is at 8.30am
Class begins at 9.15am.
A tea/coffee break at around 11am.
Lunch is at 1pm.
A short tea/coffee break at around 4pm (except on the final day).
Dinner is at 6.30pm.
Class/ceremony resumes at 7.30pm.
Our venue
Our class takes takes place at the Ammerdown Retreat Centre, near Radstock in Somerset, set in gardens and woodland.
For your travels, the address for your satnav is Ammerdown Park, Radstock, Bath BA3 5SW. There is plenty of free parking. The closest airport is Bristol (45 minutes away by car/taxi). If you would like to arrive early and settle in the night before class, the rate for Supper, Bed and Breakfast pppn is £98 (inc VAT). A booking link is below.
Three home-booked meals are provided per day at Ammerdown, plus tea and coffee, and sometimes cakes and biscuits at break times. You are welcome bring with you specialist teas, snacks, and other items that you need to be comfortable outside of these times, however please note that there is no access to a fridge.
When you pay your accommodation fee to Ammerdown using the links farther down the page, you have the opportunity to confirm the dietary option that you follow. If you have complex dietary requirements, we need to give the catering team, and potentially the whole group, as much notice as possible, and this may incur an additional cost to you.
Please also let Ammerdown, and us, know if you have any mobility issues, so that you can be allocated a room on the ground floor or near the lift.
Tuition fee
As always, we are very grateful to those who say ‘Yes!’ and sign up in good time, so in gratitude there is an Early Bird rate that is substantially lower than the full price.
This year, the Early Bird rate is £500 inc VAT. Thereafter the Standard Fee is £650 inc VAT. Click the link below to make your payment.
To receive the Early Bird discount on your tuition fee, Chris must receive the balance of your tuition fee by the end of the day on Monday 10 August. After that, the full, Standard Rate fee applies. Please put this date in your diary if you would like to receive the discount.
TUITION PAYMENT LINKWhat to bring with you
Comfortable clothes that you can move around in easily; plus warm, water-proof clothes and footwear for outdoor work in all forms of British weather in November.
There are a few things that we request that you please don’t bring: we are stepping into a sensitive environment and over many years have found that these elements in particular will feel more impactful: we leave our mobile phones and all electronic devices in our rooms while we are in class; no alcohol while we are together – energy work and alcohol do not mix; smoking and vaping are not allowed on the venue premises; and our request is that you don’t use cosmetic perfumes and aftershaves at all while you’re with us.
Accommodation fee
The cost of your full-board accommodation is £468 (inc VAT).
Spirit of the Inca reserves your room until six weeks prior to our class. When you make your accommodation payment before then, your room booking is secured. After this date, Ammerdown releases any unpaid rooms from our booking (otherwise Spirit of the Inca would be liable for the cost), so if you book within six weeks of the start of class, please make your accommodation payment as soon as possible. Taking your place depends on staying at Ammerdown; it is not possible to do this training and stay elsewhere.

Both Spirit of the Inca and Ammerdown highly recommend ensuring that you have insurance in case of cancellations (in case of illness for example) or other disruptions; it is possible that travel insurance would cover this, but we highly recommend that you check.
