For around 20 years, I have been making an annual pilgrimage through Peru’s Sacred Valley and up to the Lake at the top of the world, Lake Titicaca, connecting with this beautiful land and the extraordinary lineage of its medicine men and women. This year, from Monday 22 September until Tuesday 7 October, we once again experienced the magic, power, and beauty of this ancient medicine tradition.

Every journey is unique, but all are filled with wonder and discovery. Alongside myself and our Q’ero shamans—Don Francisco, Doña Juana, Don Pascual, Doña Santusa, and Chino—you will travel through the Sacred Valley, following the course of the Urubamba River from Pisac to Machu Picchu. This is a journey like no other, where we walk with Earthkeepers and connect deeply with this sacred tradition.
Through the Sacred Valley…
Our journey is designed to help us make a deep connection with this extraordinary land. Together, we experience ceremonies at sacred sites, such as caves and waterfalls, where we work to heal our relationship with the Earth and each other, fostering a connection in right-relationship (or ‘Ayni‘ in the Quecuan language of our Q’ero medicine lineage) with all of Mother Earth’s creations. Highlights include visiting the immense terraces and then the colourful market at Pisac; the amazing earthworks that form the temple to the Great Feminine at Moray; and of course stepping into the sacred grounds of Machu Picchu, the Crystal City.
… and up to the Lake at the top of the world
Our journey continues as we travel to Lake Titicaca, traversing the Altiplano and stopping at temples and sacred sites along the way. We’ll take a boat across the lake to the serene island of Amantani, where we stay with local families who embody simplicity and generosity. At sunset, we hold ceremonies as the sun dips below the horizon, creating a truly magical experience. Back onshore, we journey over the backs of the Serpent and the Puma to the Gateway to the Gods, where you will have the opportunity to connect with cosmic energies at this powerful portal. We’ll also explore lesser-known sites, perfect for quieter ceremonies to honour our connection with the Earth.

Itinerary and costs
Every detail is arranged with care and years of experience to ensure a seamless and inspiring experience. We handle all logistics, including accommodation, transportation, and meals, except for your flights and one night at a Lima airport hotel. Please note that the itinerary may change based on local conditions, so flexibility is key. We hope we will make this incredible journey with you one day!
What’s included
The journey we provide includes: accommodation in our favourite hotels; breakfasts daily; picnic lunches at sacred sites when we are out on the land; some evening meals; all train, boat and bus journeys; and entrance to sacred sites.
There are also some elements that money can’t buy. This includes our decades-long relationship with our Q’ero shamans, who are with us all day long during our time in the Sacred Valley, and then available for personal 1-1 healing sessions in the evenings. And also our knowledge of and connection to this land, which is considerable: many of the sites we visit are not found in the guide books…
Elements you pay for separately
You’ll cover flights and your hotel at Lima Airport for one night; tips; your own travel and medical insurance; bottled water and snacks; some meals, and any personal healing sessions with shamans (around $80 each).
